The Toro Co. introduced its new Spray Master ride-on sprayer, a sprayer with electronic smart controls.
The smart controls eliminate the need for a manual pressure regulator and help apply precise liquid and granular spreads. Fluid levels are easy to see with transparent white tanks, according to the company.
An auxiliary pump delivers 2 gallons/minute and up to 10 psi for constant tank agitation. The sprayer also offers stall protection and maintains a constant speed during dry spread applications.
New attachments
Toro also expanded its line of attachments with the Multi Force lineup. Attachments include a front-mount tine rake dethatcher and a 38-inch aerator.
The 38-inch-wide aerator has six floating rotor heads that lift independently and three swivel caster assemblies with two floating cast-iron tine rotor heads. The aerator can cover 66,000 square feet per hour at 5 mph. It also punctures up to six holes per square foot that are approximately 0.5 inch wide by 1.25 inches long and up to 3 inches deep. The lift action of the tines works to prevent soil compaction and allows for filtration of air and water into the lawn. This aerator is attached to Toro equipment with a mounting bar and two clevis pins. An electric actuator lifts the aerator’s heads for easy transport.
A front-mount tine rake dethatcher has patented tines to lift thatch without damaging healthy turfgrass. The tine rake dethatcher also can comb any matted grass to give lawns a clean, hand-raked appearance.
