Husqvarna introduced several new products designed for lawn and tree care professionals at the 2019 GIE+EXPO in Louisville, Ky. These include zero-turns, sever handheld battery-powered products and commercial robotics.
Battery-powered options
Husqvarna announced several new additions to the portfolio of battery-operated products.
The new 520iHT4 (MSRP: $449.99) hedge trimmer offers a telescoping arm with a reach of more than 14 feet. The hedge trimmer has cutting speeds of 4000 ctm with a brushless motor and is powered by a 36V Li-ion battery.
The Husqvarna 550iBTX (MSRP: $449.99) is a battery-powered backpack blower with a blow force of 21N. The blower is IPX4 weatherproof. It features continuous boost mode and cruise control. A keypad helps users monitor battery status and running modes are featured on the handle.
The Husqvarna K 535i (MSRP: $649.99) is a lightweight battery-powered cutter. Suitable for concrete garden plates, granite, roof and floor tiles, the K 535i is adaptable for wet and dry cutting and fits with Husqvarna BLi200/300 batteries.
New zero-turn mowers
Husqvarna’s new Z400 Series of professional zero-turn mowers come equipped with Parker HTE Series transmission and 10 percent better fuel efficiency than the M-ZT Series.
“We believe it’s a game-changer,” said George Reister, global product manager for Husqvarna. “From the ground up, it’s a new platform for us. It’s 50 degrees cooler than our own line’s transmissions.”
The Z400 series includes an integrated parking brake. Each model in Husqvarna’s Z400 Series of zero-turn mowers includes a folding ROPS. LED digital fuel gauges offer a quick view of fuel levels in the 6-gallon dual fuel tanks.
- Z448 (MSRP: $5,999): built with a Kawasaki FS 22 hp engine, Parker HTE 10 transmission and 48-inch cutting deck.
- Z454 (MSRP: $6,499): built with a Kawasaki FS 22 hp engine, Parker HTE 10 transmission and 54-inch cutting deck
- Z460 (MSRP: $6,999): built with a Kawasaki FS 22 hp engine, Parker HTE 10 transmission and 60-inch cutting deck.
Husqvarna is also introducing two new Z400X options to the series. The Z460X (MSRP: $8,499) has Parker HTE 12 transmission, with a 23.5 hp Kawasaki FX engine and a 60-inch cut deck. The Z454X (MSRP: $7,999) has a Parker HTE 12 transmission with a 22 hp Kawasaki FX engine and a 54-inch cutting deck. Both models include 23-inch by 10.5-inch rear tires.
Professional handheld trimmers
The Husqvarna 535LST (MSRP: $479.99) is a trimmer in the 35cc class. This trimmer with bevel gear is designed to withstand high torques. The X-Torq engine delivers more power and less fuel consumption and exhaust emissions compared to a conventional engine.
The new 535LK (MSRP: $499.99) is a heavy-duty professional combi trimmer featuring the X-Torq engine. This new combi trimmer offers a quick connection system compatible with existing Husqvarna attachments with an anti-vibration system and soft-grip handles.
All-wheel drive automower
Husqvarna’s Automower is now available in all-wheel drive (AWD). The Automower 535 AWD (MSRP: $4,299; installation sold separately) can handle slopes up to 35 degrees and maintain up to 0.9 acres of turf. It features technology that optimizes the control of each wheel to enable superior operation in the most demanding terrain – even in rainy conditions.
The Automower 535 AWD comes with Husqvarna’s cloud-based Fleet Services management system. Automower includes GPS-assisted navigation, remote object detection, control via smartphone app and a new rubber bumper design for extra protection.
