Ewing Irrigation & Landscape Supply has restructured its education program to run during a regular calendar year. In addition, Ewing will offer more classes and include custom training options for organizations in 2018.
Jeffrey Knight, Ewing’s director of learning and development, said the changes will provide more options year-round for contractors who are trying to obtain continuing education credits or would like to learn the most up-to-date information about their trade.
“Customers can now see the full calendar of courses for the entire year, as opposed to just the winter months,” Knight said. In 2018, Ewing will continue to offer its current class lineup, as well as an assortment of new classes in irrigation, turf and ornamentals, outdoor living and business categories.
“New additions like ‘Irrigation Bidding and Estimating’ will help contractors increase their expertise in specific areas of their business to ensure maximum profits are being made,” Knight said.
For organizations interested in group-focused training, Ewing has expanded its custom training offerings. With more than 30 classes to choose from, including “Pesticides and Integrated Pest Management Concepts” and “Outdoor Lighting Made Simple,” companies, municipalities, schools and other organizations can select a topic specific to their needs.
“It can be as specific or as broad as the organization needs,” Knight said. “The training works to grow employees as individuals and strengthen the company as a whole.”
