Boss Snowplow expanded its fleet to include a new heavy-duty municipal plow and a new spreader.

Designed for medium-duty trucks, the 9-foot Straight-Blade plow features a reinforced moldboard and enhanced blade curl, which the company said can power through deep, wet snow during storms.

“Increasing blade rigidity is the backbone to the creation of the Boss Heavy-Duty Plow,” said Mark Klossner, marketing vice president for Boss Snowplow. “This new plow is designed for municipalities and comes with six trip springs and two shock absorbers, making it completely durable, long-lasting and strong to take Mother Nature’s toughest hits.”

The straight-blade comes standard with the Boss SmartLight 3 LED with Ice Shield Technology. It’s also equipped with the Boss heavy-duty undercarriage and SmartHitch 2 Attachment system for quick and easy attachment.

The company also expanded its VBX spreader product line with the addition of the VBX 6500. It features models with both auger and pintle feeds, electric motors and standard work lights.

“The VBX 6500 is a natural extension of our spreader product line,” said Klossner. “Ice control is key for professionals, and we’re continuing to develop spreaders and products that deliver advanced features and functionalities.”

With a 1.5 cubic-yard capacity, the Boss VBX 6500 is built with a stainless steel drive train and weatherproof components, designed for reduced maintenance and longer life. It features a rear-mounted dump switch, backlit LCD display controller and a dual motor control.
