Stihl unveiled its new, 36-volt, 1148 watt-hour AR 3000 backpack battery. Interchangeable with all handheld tools in the Stihl Battery Line, this battery has 25 percent more capacity than the Stihl AR 900, running for up to 13 hours and eliminating exhaust emissions, the company said.
“Tasks like trimming, pruning and blowing are all done with ease using the AR 3000,” said Brian Manke, product manager at Stihl. “This innovative battery allows professionals to maximize their time on-site and can be used in environmentally or noise-sensitive areas like school grounds, business districts or hospitals.”
The AR 3000 comes equipped with numerous features like audible and visual recharge alerts, rain cover, sturdy housing and durable base plate. And its ergonomic design with comfortable shoulder straps, hip belt and chest strap distributes the weight evenly, reducing operator fatigue, Stihl said.
Recharging the AR 3000 to 100 percent capacity takes 160 minutes when used with the Stihl AL 500 high-speed charger.
