Companies in the News: Lush Lawn donates to Flint; Reinders relocates, Raimondi wins safety award

Lush Lawn CEO and Founder Aaron Samson traveled to the city of Flint, Mich., Jan. 21 to donate bottles of water to the Flint Fire Station. With branches in Brighton, Rochester Hills and Grand Blanc, the company has employees and customers who were directly affected by the consumption of lead-tainted water during the Flint Water Crisis. Reinders, as it celebrates its 150-year anniversary, will relocate its Vernon Hills, Ill., store to Buffalo Grove, Ill., in March. The new store will be located at 111 Lexington Dr. The phone number will remain the same, 847-573-0300. According to the company, the new store features more than triple the amount of inside storage space, a ground level overhead door for easier truck loading, a wrap around drive for quick access and larger service counters. Reinders is a full-service distributor of landscape supplies, commercial turf equipment, irrigation products, lighting and ice melt supplies. It also has Illinois stores in Rockford and Franklin Park, six locations across Wisconsin, two in Minnesota and one in Kansas City.

Raimondi Horticultural Group, a landscape, design/build and lawn care company located in Ho-Ho-Kus, N.J., received the National Association of Landscape Professionals’ top safety award, the “Best of the Best” award. The award honors companies that received the overall safety achievement award, or gold performance status, for three consecutive years.
