John Deere Landscapes rebranded as SiteOne Landscape Supply on Oct. 19.
The company, which announced the new name in August, capped off the initiative with a celebration at Copper & Kings Distillery on Oct. 22 at GIE+EXPO.
“As SiteOne, our vision is to leverage the passion and knowledge of our 2,700 dedicated associates, along with our commitment to excellence in product offerings and service delivery, to make our customers the most successful landscaping professionals in the green industry,” said Doug Black, CEO of SiteOne, in a release.
With 460 locations in North America, SiteOne said it is the largest wholesale distributor of landscape supplies in North America.
During a press conference at GIE+EXPO, Black said SiteOne plans to continue to grow organically and by acquisition, although he didn’t elaborate due to a quiet period mandated by the Securities & Exchange Commission in light of the company filing for an initial public offering in August.
Black also said replacing the John Deere name has been a challenge, but the company is pleased with the new brand.
“We’re excited about our new name,” he said. “(SiteOne is) a company that’s been around awhile, taken to new heights with a new name.”
