The National Association of Landscape Professionals (NALP), formerly PLANET, is rebranding its annual education convention from the Green Industry Conference to LANDSCAPES. The Green Industry Conference is held in Louisville, Ky., each October in partnership with GIE+EXPO and Hardscapes North America. The change is part of the larger NALP rebranding.
“Our convention has been called GIC for short, which sounds similar to the GIE+EXPO, so we wanted a new name and brand that stands out, will attract new attendees and works well with our new association branding,” said NALP CEO Sabeena Hickman. “Our convention focuses on helping people understand the business and regulatory landscape in our industry and the new name reflects that.”
This year’s convention will feature more than 40 sessions presented by industry experts and business and professional development speakers from outside the industry.
