MEMPHIS, TENN.—SellMyGreenBusiness.com reports that, in a Securities & Exchange Commission filing on Oct. 12, Thomas G. Brackett, the president of ServiceMaster’s TruGreen segment, has resigned from the company, effective Oct. 9, 2012. ServiceMaster CEO Hank Mullany will serve as interim president of TruGreen until a new president is hired.
LM will continue to update readers on this issue as details become available.
UPDATE: The Memphis Commercial Appeal reports that Brackett’s resignation followed second quarter decreases in ServiceMaster’s revenues and operating income, primarily due to shifts at TruGreen. The lawn care unit posted a 13.8 percent drop in customer accounts. Brackett served as president for less than a year, the paper reports. He was named president of TruGreen in December after serving as president of ServiceMaster’s Terminix.
