1988-1992: Branch manager, Columbus, Ohio
“I wanted to learn the operations side more. I relocated down to Columbus, and I’ve been here since.”

1992-2000: Region manager
“When the TruGreen/ChemLawn acquisition came about (in 1992), they were looking for people with both operations and marketing backgrounds.”

“I left TruGreen with my two partners, Kevin Jardine and Imtiaz Tootla, and we started NexGreen.”

NexGreen: “My brother-in-law came up with the name. We were searching for names that said, culturally, who we wanted to be. Our brand is a hybrid of traditional lawn care and a natural approach.”

Marisa Palmieri

Marisa Palmieri is an experienced Green Industry editor who's won numerous awards for her coverage of the landscape and golf course markets from the Turf & Ornamental Communicators Association (TOCA), the Press Club of Cleveland and the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE). In 2007, ASBPE named her a Young Leader. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism, cum laude, from Ohio University’s Scripps School of Journalism.
