JDL strikes first acquisition in Hawaii

|

JDL_lmdJohn Deere Landscapes (JDL) acquired Diamond Head Sprinkler Supply, which comprises three landscape distribution centers in Hawaii. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The centers—housed in Honolulu; Pearl City, Hawaii; and Kailua Kona, Hawaii—will operate as JDL locations under their existing names.

Robert “Bob” Bosley founded Diamond Head Sprinkler Supply nearly 50 years ago, after relocating to Hawaii from California to work as an irrigation contractor. As a contractor, Bosley imported sprinklers and other products from the states that weren’t available on the islands. Through that, other contractors queried him about receiving the supplies, leading Bosley to open the Honolulu distribution center in 1967.

The distributor sells irrigation supplies, landscape products, drainage materials and water features.

“The acquisition of Diamond Head Sprinkler Supply is John Deere Landscapes’ first acquisition in Hawaii,” JDL CEO Doug Black said. “Diamond Head Sprinkler Supply has been providing its customers with high quality products and services. It’s a tradition that will continue. We welcome our new employees and look forward to expanding our services to the region.”
