For the fifth straight year, Milwaukee-based Douglas Dynamics was named one of the top workplaces in Southeastern Wisconsin by the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
The annual top workplaces survey is based on responses provided by employees of participating companies. The survey asks employees to evaluate their employers on 22 criteria, including the effectiveness of management, the direction of the company, openness to new ideas, employee engagement, salary and benefits and training support.
“We firmly believe our employees’ job satisfaction directly affects the quality of our products and our success as a company,” said Linda Evans, vice president of human resources.
The survey divides companies into small, medium and large categories and ranks each company against other companies within its category. Douglas Dynamics, which employs 245 people, is considered a mid-sized organization.
