For their ninth year, Simi Valley, Calif.-based Vista Professional Outdoor Lighting’s Dan Cuñado and his wife Martha donated lighting and decorations to the Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA).
“This annual event is very meaningful to our family,” said Dan Cuñado, founder of Vista. “It’s an opportunity to give back to an amazing organization where everyone is committed to the well-being of children. We’re honored to be a part of that.”
The Cuñado family flipped the switch on the holiday lights at the CHLA holiday tree lighting ceremony Dec. 3. Broadway stars, Hollywood celebrities and Santa Claus attended to countdown to the lighting of a 35-foot holiday tree. Blitzen, a miniature pony and falling snowflakes also uplifted the celebration.
CHLA’s holiday light event began in 2005 after the Cuñado’s son experienced a health scare requiring medical attention at the children’s hospital.
“We received such phenomenal care and support when our son was in the hospital,” Dan Cuñado said. “The lights and decorations are our way of recognizing CHLA for the positive impact it has on patients’ lives.”
