Ruppert welcomes return of director of fleet operations

Ruppert Landscape, of Laytonsville, Md., welcomed Ken Railey back to the company as director of fleet operations. He formerly served in the position prior to the sale of the company in 1998.

In this role, Railey again will oversee the company’s fleet management initiatives by providing leadership, vendor relation expertise, purchasing skill, policy and program guidance, innovation know-how and monitoring of field operations to ensure execution and compliance with established standards and processes.

“Ken has a clear understanding of our company culture as he helped create and shape it in our formative years,” said Phil Key, president. “He was a very obvious candidate for this position and he brings with him a wealth of experience that will help us fulfill our five-year vision. We are happy to welcome Ken back into the fold and are confident that his forward-thinking ideas will help to help advance us quickly and dramatically in the fleet realm.”

Railey has over 38 years in the Green Industry. During his nearly 18 years with Ruppert previously, he served as mechanic, shop manager, safety director, facilities Manager as well as director of fleet operations. Since 1998, he worked as the national fleet director for TruGreen and later its parent company ServiceMaster, where he managed one of the largest fleets in the country.
