The Professional Landcare Network (PLANET) named four new Trailblazers, an honor based on nominations and bestowed for excellence and achievement in the areas of lawn care, design/build/installation, interior plantscaping, irrigation & water management and landscape management.
The individuals, who will be recognized at PLANET’S Green Industry Conference, include:
- Michael Becker with Estate Gardeners in Elkhorn, Neb. (design/build installation);
- Pete Wilkerson with Scapesgroup in Roswell, Ga. (design/build installation);
- Stephen Mazelis with Mazelis Landscape Contracting in Nesconset, N.Y. (landscape management); and
- Jason New with Southern Botanical in Dallas (landscape management).
Each Trailblazer sets aside one day per year to provide on-site mentoring to a PLANET member and participates in the Trailblazers on Call program that provides quick answers to members’ business questions.
