ClearSpan Fabric Structures, for sand and salt storage, provide design/build and energy-efficient solutions for material, equipment and other storage needs.
When the Stephenson County (Illinois) highway department needed to replace their material storage building that was lost in a storm, County Engineer Chris Isbell turned to ClearSpan Fabric Structures.
“I determined that fabric buildings cost less and could be constructed quicker than wood-framed structures,” said Isbell.
The department purchased two Hercules Truss Arch Buildings from ClearSpan, each 45 feet by 90 feet, for salt supply, aggregate mix and other storage. Isbell said the buildings have proved to be low maintenance and have subsequently freed up budget dollars for other projects.
