CHASKA, MINN.— The Mustard Seed Landscaping & Garden Center, owned by Mark and Kay Halla, has had a steadfast commitment to the community and the environment since it was founded in 2003. Mark Halla has even deeper roots in the community and landscape industry: His grandparents founded Halla Nursery in 1942 and he is the only third-generation family member active in the industry. He is proud to be bringing The Mustard Seed to the former location of Halla Nursery, which closed its doors in November 2012. This spring, the doors will officially open as The Mustard Seed at Halla Nursery, offering top-notch landscape solutions, plant selection and new jobs in the community.
Many changes have already begun, but future plans include enhancing the parking lot, offering a broader selection of plants, and bringing in new animals and an expanded children’s play area for enjoyment.
“It will be a work in progress,” Halla says. “There is so much we want to do, but time and resources will ultimately control how quickly we can implement our plans.”
