Weed Man Lawn Care continues is Ohio expansion with a new location in Mansfield, Ohio. The company is currently operating its Weed Man and Mosquito Hero operations in Columbus.
“We’re really seeing a big demand for lawn care. The options in Mansfield were really just limited to smaller companies,” said Weed Man Owner Clarrissa Dillon. “Our guys are very well trained. And Weed Man has been around for over 50 years, and that just gives the people in Mansfield confidence in us.”
Local knowledge and local expertise are crucial, according to Dillon, as there are even noticeable differences between Columbus and Mansfield.
“Agronomically, their peak season is a little bit later than what we’re at in Columbus. Dandelions started popping down in Columbus a full week or two earlier than in Mansfield. That means our season is going to be a bit longer, which is great.”
Weed Man has more than 220 franchises across the U.S. and Canada, and are locally owned and operated in over 1,000 territories.
A big part of the Weed Man culture is personal growth and promoting from within. Dillon said that they have promoted from within their own team for the Mansfield branch, with an eye on adding more in the near future.
“We have a vision of growth, adding new branch managers and growing people within our team right now. Being in Mansfield means more opportunities. And more growth for employees and our family,” Dillon said.
