Weathermatic’s SmartCon 2026 will be putting the pedal to the metal.
The company recently announced that Richard Rawlings, the founder of Gas Monkey Garage and the star of the long-running Discovery Channel show “Fast N’ Loud,” will be the keynote speaker at SmartCon when it convenes in San Antonio, Feb. 16-18.
“Richard has built a globally recognized brand starting in a two-car garage,” said Lex Mason, Weathermatic president. “At SmartCon, he is bringing the unfiltered truth. What worked. What broke. The mistakes that nearly ended the business. And the decisions that transformed pressure into scale.
“This is someone who built something real when the pressure was on, not someone with just a theory.”
Three other top-notch presenters will be featured during the main workshops at SmartCon, including Mason, who will present “Build the Systems, Metrics and Structure That Drive Company-Wide Performance” during the People and Culture Workshop.
In addition, Chad Diller, the CEO of Landscape Leadership and a 25-year industry veteran, will top the bill during the Sales and Marketing Workshop with his presentation “Designing a Customer-Centric Growth Engine: How Landscaping Companies Win Before, During and After the Sale.” Finally, Jeff Harkness with 3PG Advisors will be featured during the Finance and Operations Workshop with “How to Win More Work, Differentiate Your Brand and Grow High-Margin Irrigation Revenue.”
In addition to the education, networking opportunities will be at the top of the to-do list at SmartCon2026, highlighted by a party at the Alamo featuring country music star Coffey Anderson.
