W. CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — Papers are invited for the 31st Symposium on Pesticide Formulations and Delivery Systems: “Innovative Green Chemistries for the 21st Century,” which will be held Oct. 12-14, 2010, at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio, San Antonio, TX. Sponsored by ASTM International Committee E35 on Pesticides and Alternative Control Agents and its Subcommittee E35.22 on Pesticide Formulations and Delivery Systems, the symposium will be held in conjunction with the Oct. 11-15 standards development meetings of the committee.
This annual ASTM symposium serves as a multidisciplinary forum for scientists, university educators, research and extension staff, equipment manufacturers and applicators, regulators and the business community to exchange information and to learn about state-of-the art products and practices that meet or exceed current and future green chemistry market trends. The symposium is devoted to all aspects of agrochemical formulation and delivery systems including green surfactants and related compositions, green packaging concepts, and efficient application technologies aimed to reduce spray drift and regulatory trends. Symposium themes will include the following general topics:
Green Surfactant, Adjuvant and Active Ingredient Chemistries for the 21st Century;
Innovative Formulations for Delivery of Active Ingredients;
Seed Treatment Delivery Systems;
Formulations for Post-Harvest Treatment of Fruits and Vegetable Crops;
Formulations for Turf and Ornamental Crops;
Biopesticide Formulation Development/Controlled Release Delivery Systems;
Environmentally Compatible Package Systems;
Inerts and Their Regulation;
New Test Methods: Formulations and Their Compositions; and
Novel Application Technologies.
Interested presenters must submit a 300-500 word abstract here by May 21, 2010. Symposium chair Bala Devisetty will notify you by June 26, 2010, of your paper’s acceptability for presentation. Symposium presenters are required to submit their papers to the Journal of ASTM International (JAI).
