LawnPRO Partners, an Atlanta-based lawn care company, has acquired Seacoast Tree Care and Turf Care, a New Hampshire firm serving the Seacoast regions of New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Maine for over two decades.
Seacoast Tree & Turf, founded in 2003 by Dan Mello, initially specialized in tree preservation and plant healthcare before adding lawn care to its services in 2014.
“Ultimately, my decision to sell the business was centered around my retirement goals. Over the last 20 years, I had an unwavering commitment to build a premier brand within my community where my customers knew I was passionate about their tree and lawn care needs,” said Dan Mello, owner of Seacoast Tree & Turf. “In addition to achieving my retirement goals three years early, I felt comfortable that partnering with LawnPRO Partners meant my team of dedicated employees would have an opportunity to further their professional careers well into the future.”
This move marks LawnPRO Partners’ third transaction in New Hampshire and demonstrates the ongoing wave of consolidation shaping the landscaping industry. Bill Viveen, CEO of LawnPRO Partners, told Landscape Management the acquisition will allow for increased opportunities for Seacoast staff while strengthening LawnPRO’s position in New England.
All Seacoast Tree & Turf employees will remain with the company, maintaining continuity of service for local customers. Mello continues to assist with the company’s integration into the LawnPRO brand family. For clients and the industry at large, the acquisition reflects an ongoing trend where larger operators can provide stability, training and expanded service offerings, even as local expertise is retained.
As regional markets consolidate, industry observers will be watching how family-founded firms balance tradition with growth in the evolving lawn care landscape.
