Equipment designer and grading technology firm SharpGrade has introduced the G73 Grader Blade, a precision grading attachment built specifically for compact track loaders and articulated wheel loaders in the 30-50 horsepower range. The G73 offers the accuracy of full-scale attachments while accommodating the footprint of small-capacity loaders commonly used in landscape, paving and residential grading.
The G73 measures just 45.5 inches wide with wings closed, extending to 73 inches when fully deployed. Its compact profile and hydraulic articulation aim to reduce manual raking in tasks such as sidewalk, cycleway and curb work. The blade also allows for reverse grading to eliminate track marks and improve finish quality.
Rodney Sharp, director of SharpGrade, said the attachment is designed for contractors looking to maintain efficiency and precision on restricted or sensitive job sites.
The grader uses SharpGrade’s QuadRod 3 linkage to keep the blade parallel through movement, with a Zero Cross Coupling design for independent blade control. It pairs with the company’s QuadGrade Power Pro system — an integrated touchscreen control module that simplifies machine swapping and remote diagnostics, making it well-suited for rental fleets.
SharpGrade, based in New Zealand, has positioned the G73 not just for owner-operators, but as a strategic solution for equipment rental firms looking to expand smart grading options for smaller machines.
