This year, the award-winning R.P. Marzilli and Co. is marking its 40th anniversary with a year-long celebration of activities and events honoring four decades in landscape construction and stewardship. Since it was founded in 1985 by Bob Marzilli in Newton, Mass., the company has grown to work throughout the region and offer a full range of landscape construction, maintenance and ecological services. The growth and success they have realized over the past forty years culminated in 2022 when they joined the Mariani Premier Group.

As part of its year-long 40th anniversary celebration, R.P. Marzilli is publishing 40 Stories of Marzilli — a collection of reflections from clients, partners and professionals who the company has worked with to create some of New England’s most distinctive and iconic landscapes.

The company also recently hosted a special event at the University of Massachusetts Club in Boston to celebrate the anniversary and bring together the associates, landscape architects, builders, clients and allied partners who have helped shape Marzilli’s success over the past four decades.

“I’ve always loved the landscape industry, since I was a child growing up in a family business,” said founder Bob Marzilli. “I’ve been dedicated to the well-being of the landscape industry all my life.”

R.P. Marzilli defined its niche through partnerships with leading landscape architects and residential builders who worked together to realize creative visions and execute them with expert precision and craftsmanship. The company maintains growth across its regional teams serving greater Boston as well as Cape Cod, Rhode Island and the Berkshires while staying focused on relationships and quality.

In 2023, the Massachusetts Horticultural Society awarded Bob Marzilli the Silver Medal, which he calls a “validation of a lifelong ambition,” but his true legacy resides in his investments toward the industry’s future. The company has offered a longstanding scholarship at Marzilli’s alma mater, the Stockbridge School of Agriculture at University of Massachusetts, Amherst, to enable students to enter the landscape construction field by eliminating financial obstacles and creating career opportunities.

Bryan Christiansen, CEO of the Mariani Premier Group said, “I wish to extend our warmest congratulations to Bob and our team at R.P. Marzilli and Company. We are so proud of all you have accomplished and wish you the best for the next forty years and beyond.”

With heartfelt appreciation, the company acknowledges all who have contributed to its success.

“This anniversary serves not only as a retrospective celebration but also as a springboard toward our future goals,” Marzilli said.

Bobcat celebrates NRPA’s Park and Recreation Month

Bobcat Co., a global equipment and worksite solutions brand, is giving back to local parks this July in celebration of the National Recreation and Park Association’s (NRPA) Park and Recreation Month.

Throughout July, Bobcat invites individuals to join in giving back to their communities. The company stated to tag @BobcatCompany and include the hashtag #WorkWorthDoing, and for every shared photo between July 1-31, 2025, Bobcat will donate $10 to the NRPA, with a goal to contribute up to $150,000 to support environmental preservation.

“Community is at the heart of everything we do,” said Laura Ness Owens, Bobcat vice president of brand and marketing. “Our partnership with the NRPA allows us to contribute to the creation of vibrant, sustainable park and recreation spaces that benefit people of all ages. Through its support of NRPA, Bobcat is aiming to foster environments where communities can thrive.

“Build together, play together” is the theme of this year’s Park and Recreation Month. In its 40th year of celebration, Park and Recreation Month uplifts park and recreation professionals and how they improve lives through the lasting impact of park and recreation programs.

“Park and Recreation Month is a time to honor the park and recreation professionals and agencies that make our communities stronger,” said Kristine Stratton, NRPA president and CEO. “We’re incredibly grateful for partners like Bobcat, whose unwavering support and shared commitment to the power of parks helps drive lasting impact. Their belief in the importance of local park and recreation spaces — places that foster well-being, build resilience and prepare communities for the challenges of today and tomorrow — is a true inspiration.”
