With the growing need for quiet yet powerful equipment, Stanley Black and Decker partnered with Whisper Aero to bring its WhisperDrive technology to Stanley Black and Decker’s product portfolio. This will begin with a collaboration integrating the aerospace-engineered WhisperDrive system into Stanley Black and Decker products. The partnership is the result of a joint effort with Stanley Ventures, Stanley Black and Decker’s venture capital arm.
Localities, cities and states continue the effort to keep their communities clean without disturbing surroundings. The advent of electric motors, controllers and batteries have provided new ways to innovate outdoor power equipment, but delivering superior performance and low noise has been a challenge in recent years.
Over the past year, Whisper Aero has extensively experimented to successfully demonstrate that its aerospace technology can be affordably embedded into commercial tools. According to the company, Whisper has shown breakthroughs in electric runtime and UltraQuiet performance with multiple generations of leaf blower prototypes. WhisperDrive technology proved it’s possible to be 16 dBA quieter at 50 feet while still moving 40 percent more air and using 40 percent less energy compared to industry leading tools.
Whisper Aero recently unveiled the first electric tow behind blower powered by WhisperDrive technology, delivering 250N blowing performance while operating under 65 dBA. The tow-behind blower leverages multiple WhisperDrives for golf course cleanup, landscape management tasks, highway debris removal and more for instances where moving more air quietly is necessary.

Whisper Aero will showcase an assortment of WhisperDrive products at the 2024 Equip Exposition, held Oct.15-18 in Louisville, Ky. The performance of these products will be demonstrated live at Whisper Aero’s Booth, #42316.
