Greenworks Commercial has launched its 2025 Optimus lineup of battery-operated outdoor power equipment for the landscaping industry. Developed with feedback from more than 200 landscape professionals who tested the equipment in real-world conditions since early 2024, the company says the new models aim to meet the needs of today’s landscape pros.
“We engineered the Greenworks Optimus range based on insights from professionals, answering specific challenges that they shared with us,” said Klaus Hahn, president of Greenworks North America. “Optimus provides a ‘full trailer solution’ with the tools and solutions for every commercial landscaper and every job. These innovative, heavy-duty products deliver the extreme power and performance that pros need day in and day out.”
Greenworks will showcase the 2025 Optimus lineup at the Equip Exposition in Louisville, Ky., in October.
A Greenworks survey of 350 landscape professionals conducted by Greenworks Commercial found that battery-powered equipment is preferred for:
- Lower noise levels and absence of fumes (58 percent)
- Ease of use (51 percent)
- Minimal maintenance requirements (51 percent)
According to the company, the more than 85 commercial-grade products and accessories in the Optimus portfolio feature modern technologies that address the challenges of the professional landscaper, arborist and contractor. The portfolio includes zero-turn radius mowers, charging solutions and a wide range of powerful 82-volt tools like hedge trimmers, string trimmers, edgers, blowers and self-propelled, all-terrain mowers (ATMs).
The Greenworks OptimusZ Zero-Turn Mower Platform earned an AGZA Field Tested Certification (AFTC) designation from the American Green Zone Alliance for its battery-powered riding and stand-on mower line. The certification recognizes manufacturers and equipment capable of commercial work and that can sufficiently replace gas machines.
