Virginia Green, a provider of lawn care services in the Mid-Atlantic, welcomed Matthew Austin as the company’s director of acquisitions. With a proven track record in strategy and business development, Matthew will be instrumental in driving Virginia Green’s expansion efforts as it continues to broaden its reach and enhance service offerings, according to the company.
Austin holds a master’s degree in decision analytics from Virginia Commonwealth University, an undergraduate degree in finance from the University of Virginia and brings more than twenty years of experience in private equity, investment banking and financial planning and analysis. Austin also harnesses experience in strategy and business development, business valuation, transaction diligence and execution, as well as assisting management teams in building businesses.

In his new role as director, Austin will oversee all aspects of acquisitions, including identifying potential opportunities, building partnerships and integrating new businesses into Virginia Green’s operations. His position sees him work closely with the executive team to ensure that each acquisition aligns with the company’s long-term goals and enhances its ability to serve customers.
Ruppert Landscape
Ruppert Landscape, founded as a family and employee-owned business heaquartered in Laytonsville Md., and a provider of commercial landscaping services, grows its expertise with a small handful of promotions. Ruppert will see Josh Guyton become branch manager of the company’s Raleigh, N.C., landscape maintenance branch, Larry Windsor will become the branch manager of the company’s Bowie, Md., landscape maintenance branch and Krysta Marshall will be the branch manager of the company’s John’s Island, S.C., landscape maintenance branch.
In their new roles, the three will now see themselves overseeing the branch’s overall welfare, which includes the safety and development of her team, strategic planning and budgeting, training, customer service and day-to-day operations.
Guyton
Guyton holds a bachelor’s degree in landscape horticulture from The Ohio State University and brings more than 15 years of landscape industry experience to the table. Since joining Ruppert in late 2020 as a business developer in the Durham branch, Josh has been crucial in growing Ruppert’s market presence not only in Durham but also in Raleigh and Charlotte.

“Josh’s winning attitude and unmatched people skills have made him a natural leader within our organization,” said region manager Drew Dummann. “His dedication to both his team and our clients has been a driving force in the growth and success of our Raleigh branch. We are confident that under his leadership, the branch will continue to thrive.”
Windsor
Windsor started with Ruppert in 2020 as an area manager in the Forestville, Md., branch, bringing with him 20 years of landscape and nursery experience. He quickly established strong relationships with both customers and employees, and over the past three years, he has focused on providing top-notch customer service to his clients and achieved significant enhancement sales, earning him the company’s Branch Impact Award in 2022.

“Larry is an example of what hard work and dedication can accomplish,” said region manager Kyle Meissner. “His drive, curiosity and commitment to excellence make him a standout leader, and we’re excited to see the Bowie branch thrive under his guidance.”
Marshall
Marshall earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing and international business from Temple University and has more than a decade of experience in the landscape industry. She served the previous two years of her career as an account manager with The Greenery of Charleston — a landscaping firm that joined Ruppert at the end of 2023. In early 2024, Marshall was picked to lead the Johns Island branch and help oversee the integration while continuing to build the team and grow its market presence.

“Krysta’s drive, discipline and dedication to caring for people makes her a natural fit for the branch manager role,” said region manager Tom Murray. “We are thrilled to see Krysta grow in her career as she brings her leadership experience to the Johns Island branch.”
Munro
Munro, a manufacturer of pumps, pump controls and pump stations for the turf irrigation market, welcomed Aaron Presley as its new Eastern U.S. regional account manager. Presley will work closely with the company’s network of professional distributors as well as with irrigation specifiers, landscape architects and landscape contractors to provide industry-leading support and further develop and enhance Munro’s current market presence, according to the company.

“With over 15 years of sales experience in the landscape and irrigation industry, Aaron has developed a deep passion for providing customer solutions. Aaron’s industry expertise, paired with his unique ability to solve challenging problems, makes him an exciting addition to the Munro team ,” says Jeff Prell, national sales director for Munro.
