Bartlett Tree Experts expanded its East Coast presence with the acquisition of Living Tree, a tree care business that has operated in the West Chester, Pa., area for over 20 years.
The company said this acquisition bolsters its presence in southeastern Pennsylvania and further enlarges Bartlett’s tree care services in the areas west and north of Philadelphia.
“Living Tree has prided itself on providing mature tree preservation for many years,” said John Smithmyer, vice president and division manager of Bartlett’s Mid-Atlantic Division. “The business was a natural fit for us because they had a similar philosophy to ours; doing great tree work with an emphasis on excellent customer service. The acquisition allows us to grow our presence while providing a full range of scientific tree and shrub care services in Chester, Delaware, Montgomery and Lancaster counties.”
Bartlett has maintained a strong presence in Pennsylvania for more than 100 years. The acquisition, which was completed Oct. 7, is Bartlett’s latest in the state and adds to Bartlett’s footprint across North America.
