Caterpillar will expand its online shopping capabilities for customers. After completing a successful two-year pilot, Caterpillar rolled out Manufacturing Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for equipment on https://shop.cat.com for all U.S. Cat dealers. Participating dealers will also include a transparent sales price for machines and related attachments, simplifying the sales process.

Customers can rely on the expanded site for access to machine specifications, product videos and features. Customers can also conveniently choose from different levels of extended protection plans (EPP), a full line of attachments, financing options and special financing deals available at the time of purchase. Plus, the site calculates monthly payments, based on machine configuration, EPP selected and financing options, so the customer knows the dealer acquisition price and monthly payment. Financing can be attained through Cat Financial online, leaving only the final paperwork upon machine delivery.

The Toro Co. (TTC) launched its Sustainability Endures platform, which will strengthen TTC’s strategic focus on sustainability and its long-standing commitment to making a positive impact financially, socially and environmentally worldwide.

Sustainability is core to TTC’s purpose and culture. In fiscal year 2019, TTC enhanced its focus on sustainability by establishing a cross-functional sustainability leadership team to further develop and implement an enterprise-wide sustainability strategy. In doing so, TTC strives to build on its tradition of sustainability and drive progress with a transparent, integrated approach.

Sustainability Endures introduces four strategic pillars — people, products, process and planning — that help define and guide The Toro Company’s sustainability strategies and execution of those strategies. Through these pillars, The Toro Company is focusing on environmental, social and governance areas that it believes are most material to TTC and where it can make a meaningful impact, including health and safety, diversity, equity and inclusion, water conservation, product innovation and operational efficiency.

This year also marked an important milestone for The Toro Co. in its sustainability efforts with the release of its 2019 Sustainability Report. The report reflects TTC’s culture of innovation and long- standing commitment to economic, environmental and social responsibility, including its products, its global operations and philanthropic support worldwide. The 2019 Sustainability Report focuses on TTC’s efforts during its 2019 fiscal year and before and, as such, does not cover its response to the COVID-19 pandemic or the recent social unrest and social justice activities concerning systemic racism that have impacted the lives of many around the world.

As of July 23, David J. Frank Landscape Contracting has gone 1,825 consecutive days — five years — with no lost time due to accidents, extending the longest streak in company history.

“This streak began under the guidance of our founder and my father, David J. Frank. He would be so proud of this monumental milestone,” said CEO and President David R. Frank. “He was passionate about safety and protective of our team members, and he understood that implementing safe practices was important to the stability of the company.”

Like many outdoor careers, the combination of heavy equipment, power tools and fluctuating weather conditions present landscape workers with daily risks, and keeping the company’s 250 employees safe requires diligence.
