2020 PGMS scholarship program now accepting applications

The Professional Grounds Management Society (PGMS) is accepting 2020 scholarship applications for students in horticulture or related fields.

Applicants must be students in at least in their first year of college or in their senior year of high school with acceptance to a two- or four-year program. The top recipient will have the opportunity to attend the School of Grounds Management Conference. PGMS will pay for the scholarship recipients’ conference registration and travel.

PGMS members are encouraged to identify a student with the criteria needed for the opportunity to earn one of the 2020 PGMS scholarships. The applicant must be sponsored by a PGMS member. The scholarship program is focused on students who have a preexisting relationship with a PGMS member.

Scholarships are dedicated for current students studying landscape and grounds management, turf management, irrigation technology or a closely related field. Applicants will need to submit a cover letter, resume, current college transcript, two letters of reference and a letter from their PGMS member sponsor.

Applications must be sent online and can be submitted between Dec. 2 and Jan. 15. All applications will be judged on completion and presentation of total criteria. The scholarship committee will award the monetary scholarships. Winners will be notified by Feb. 20.

Learn more about the requirements, complete the application and see what past winners have to say on the PGMS website.
